ACLP at BSPB AGM 2025

ACLP at BSPB AGM 2025

On 16 October, the ACLP Managing Director Hélène Guillot participated in the AGM of BSPB in London, where she was invited to present the features of the licensing platform.

It makes particular sense for breeders from the UK to join the ACLP, as the UK legislation does not include a clear limited breeders’ exemption. Indeed, one of the most important principle of the ACLP is to extend the limited breeders’ exemption (allowing the use of a commercial variety including a patented trait for research and breeding without needing the authorization of the patent holder) to the 41 countries of its Territory. This provides a great advantage to its members, able to conduct research and breeding without worrying about the patchwork of national legislations.

The ACLP is always happy to make a presentation of its functioning – feel free to reach out to Hélène Guillot.
